These terms govern your use of the Authority Lane website and filing assistance service. By submitting our intake form or engaging our service, you agree to the terms below.
Authority Lane is an independent, private filing assistance service. We help prepare and submit USDOT, MC operating authority (OP-1), BOC-3, and UCR paperwork on your behalf to the FMCSA. We are not the FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or any government agency, and our service fees are separate from and in addition to any government filing fees.
You're responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your business and operations. Filing delays, rejections, or dismissals caused by inaccurate information you provided are not covered by our resubmission assistance.
Service fees are due at the time you engage our service and are separate from the FMCSA's federal filing fee. If we haven't yet submitted your application to the FMCSA, you may cancel for a full refund of our service fee. Once an application has been submitted, our service fee is non-refundable, though the FMCSA's federal filing fee policies apply independently and are outside our control.
The turnaround times listed for each package (Standard, Priority, Express) describe how quickly we prepare and submit your paperwork. They do not control FMCSA review timelines, including the standard waiting period before MC authority becomes active, which is outside our control.
Our service provides filing assistance, not legal, tax, or insurance advice. For questions about your specific legal or business obligations, consult a licensed attorney or accountant.
To the extent permitted by law, Authority Lane's liability for any claim related to our service is limited to the service fee you paid us for that filing.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
